Why Meat is Modern Poison
When you stop eating meat, you eliminate a very poisonous, addictive substance from your diet, allowing your body to free itself extra weight and disease-causing toxins.
Meat these days is not the same as it was in the 19th century. When animals are raised for meat nowadays, the conditions are disgusting: huge industrial farms where animals are crowded into tiny cubbyholes, fed a mixture of hormone chemicals, animal waste, grain, and even the ground-up bones and organs of other animals! Basically, every expense is spared so agribusinesses can make more money. Cruelty? It doesn't bother them at all.
Chicken farming is especially horrific as an industry, as their poor little beaks are cut off so they don't peck each other to death in such close quarters.
The stress these animals are under is poison enough, but there are also chemicals added to the animal's food. The chemicals get passed onto you and your unborn children in the form of bizarre growth spurts (from growth hormones), autism and other learning disorders (from the decay of chemical additives), diabetes, and cancer.
Human beings were simply not meant to eat chicken, beef, or pork. It's quite obvious from our digestive system, which is more like a deer's (vegetarian) than a raccoon's or bear's (scavenger).
Meat gets trapped in our digestive systems. The movie star John Wayne, an avid meat eater who died of colon cancer, was autopsied. Over 50 pounds of meat-waste material, or gristle, was found in his lower intestine.
Vegetables are easier to grow, they take less land, and they are better for you.
Meat farming is inefficient and wasteful of the planet's resources. It wastes more water and more earth then just farming, say, a field of soybeans. Sadly, the United States could produce enough soybeans and veggie food to feed the world, but instead, we cut down forests to clear land for more meat.
Once you go vegetarian, the number one thing you notice is:
- Better digestion and faster metabolism. Your body will detect a spinach or a squash and pretty much vaporize it instantly.
- More mental clarity. Pork especially has been directly linked to Alzheimers.
- Slimmer build. Meat causes bloating and water retention, so as long as you don't replace meat with Twinkies, french fries, and doughnuts, you stop the water-weight gain cycle suffered by all meat eaters.
- Less risk of cancer. By eating a diet full of green, orange, red, and yellow, you load yourself with cancer killers.
- Permanent weight loss. Meat is actually laced with chemicals designed to make you crave more meat. The industry does this on purpose, because fat people eat more, spend more money on diet products, and they get sicker, which feeds the hospital and pharmaceutical industry's wallets.
So do it for our planet, but more importantly, go vegetarian to improve your life and health.
