Tofu Tostadas

Very fast! No skill necessary!

1 package firm tofu, drained.
1 package of Veggie "Beef" Crumbles. Thaw if frozen.
1/2 package of taco seasoning
Taco seasoning comes pre-made in the States, but if unavailable, use 1 teaspoon chili powder (not cayenne) plus 1/2 teaspoon cumin
1 package corn tostada shells, can substitute any tortilla, corn chips, or taco shell
4 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
A little oil for frying, 2 teaspoons

Crumble tofu and fry in a little oil on medium-high heat. Tofu does not have to be browned, just heated through. Add burger crumbles. You don't even have to thaw them, all it means is some extra cooking time if you add them frozen. Heat through. Add taco seasoning, mix well.

Assemble tostadas by spreading the tofu mixture thickly upon taco shells.

Top with lettuce, sprinkle each tostada with cheese.
