Vegetarianism
I believe being vegetarian has helped to keep me slim and in robust health over the years (even though I regularly eat a lot of very bad things with lots of fat and sugar). The Free Queenie Newsletter always has a vegetarian recipe!
Eating meat these days is not as safe as it used to be! Nowadays meat and eggs are laced with antibiotics and hormones that stick around in the human body for years. It's not just about compassion for the environment, but that is a big part of it too. Sadly, the farming industry does not seem to care if people get diseases: they just want to make a profit.
