Her Story
"It must be nice, Queenie thought, to be one thing or another, to know where you belonged."
FROM THE NOVEL QUEENIE BY MICHAEL KORDA
"East is East, and West is West, and ne'er the twain shall meet."

Queenie is a fantasy character that has evolved over the years as a vehicle to express my musical side. After producing my first CD, QUEENIE, in a bedroom closet, I was fortunate to gather a devoted niche of fans for my extremely obscure ethereal Gothic style of music. After completing my first novel, Forever Fifteen, in 2004 I found that Queenie became developed her own personality, independent of me. Her "geisha" aspect is an homage to my half-Japanese ancestry, as I imagine her to be a lost incarnation of someone I never was or ever could be. I am now working to complete my next full album of songs, the very long-awaited Dream of Flight.
ow is the time to look into the sky . . . to lift your head and rest your
eyes upon the infinite spaces that stretch beyond the clouds. Now is the
time to forget about the mundane processes that constantly conspire to
trap your soul and to remember what you were at your very beginning.
Now it is time to recall yourself not as apart from nature, but as a part of
what is perfectly natural. For in five-hundred years, the trees and the
cities and the people within will not remember your daily trials, but your
dreams will live on. As your mind and heart release their dreams, they
radiate outward to become a part of the great Dreaming that you were born
of and will return to again.
Dream of destiny, dream in color, sound, and light!
Dream of untold stars and wonders, but above all . . .
