B A C K G R O U N D Happy is a very shy, introverted composer with a regular job and almost no way to support or promote her brilliant catalogue of music. Her main promoter is a kindhearted Chicago fan, Vickie Mapes, a woman who has singlehandedly taken responsiblity for almost all of Happy's web representation and online fan correspondence.

B I O G R A P H Y The enigmatic Happy Rhodes grew up as Kimberley Tyler Rhodes. She was born to a poor family and faced constant ostracism and rejection from her peers. Receiving her first guitar at age eleven, she instantly mastered the instrument and began performing her own songs at school productions. At sixteen she attained her General Education Diploma, essentially dropping out of school by graduating early. By age eighteen, Happy was actively pursuing her future in music, meeting a kindred spirit in Pat Tessitore of Cathedral Sound Studios. Happy studied recording with him while producing albums, eventually picking up representation from a small label called Aural Gratification. For all her songwriting and guitar-playing talent, Happy's most dominant gift is her amazing voice. Her range is an unbelievable four octaves, and her lows recall Annie Lennox. Her high singing is often compared to Kate Bush. Beyond her talents in singing and composition, Happy is also a skilled sci-fi artist and illustrator. In 1997, Happy was signed to the Samson Music label. She released her tenth album, the masterpiece Many Worlds Are Born Tonight, under Samson's moniker. Happy was forced to part ways with Samson when personnel shifts in the label's hierarchy resulted in her music being neglected and ignorantly shoved to the wayside for more "trendy" acts. Since then, Happy's musical career has remained at a virtual standstill. Despite a catalogue of eleven beautiful albums (including an unfinished new album, Find Me) Happy's music is neither distributed through any major internet channel, nor is her music available through iTunes. Happy rarely performs live. Astoundingly, Happy's music has never been used in a major motion picture. L I S T E N E R S H I P Please join the effort to further the music of Happy Rhodes. Happy is for the most part a hermit who does not engage in overt self-promotion efforts. Leave a message encouraging Happy to get her albums on iTunes at Vickie's Guestbook, which Happy does read.
